Hey! Why not leave us a nice review on iTunes if you like the show?
Up next episode? The 90′s video game adaptation, Mortal Kombat.
err, you left Convoy as the next episode.
Fixed.
God, I love this podcast. I cannot wait for next week’s….
Haven’t listened to this week’s yet, but looking forward to it tonight.
Just to let you know Netflix owes you guys some cash. I joined Netflix because of this podcast, and I can say that for one of my friends also.
I’ve seen Serenity, but never got to see the Firefly series. I’ve just watched the first two episodes on Netflix streaming…awesome!
I am sorely disappointed that you guys missed commenting on one of the funniest things in the whole movie. When they receive word that Spider Mike is in “trucker hell” The Duck goes as a lone wolf to rescue him but finds that he is not alone when he gets there. So the next few minutes you would think would be the truckers ramming into the jail to save their friend…but no…they chase the cops all over town and DESTROY half of the town buildings as they do it, THEN crash into the jail. I mean, what did the guy who owns the Fruit and Vegetable market do to them…and they rammed right through a tractor dealer which obviously did not have any tractors in stock.
And I did not know much about Ali McGraw, but I was swearing that I was watching a young Jamie Lee Curtis through a good chunk of the movie.
Loving the show guys.
My comments are more of the same…
Love the show.
You make me laugh so hard my belly hurts.
And you smell funny.
Oh wait, scratch that last one.
The end.
Another great episode, guys. The highlight of my Friday morning workday.
If the audio commentary is a success, you’ll have to do one for Smokey and the Bandit.
Hank Williams Jr. wasn’t in the Highwaymen. It was Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, and Waylon Jennings. Other than that, another fantastic episode.

Please do ‘Beastmaster’.
If not for me, do it for Tanya Roberts.
I am pretty sure you could add two new categories to your checklist:
crotch biting rodents and excessive stick swinging by sweaty men.
Thank you for all the wonderful entertainment you have given me
Chuck
Been with you guys since the beginning. Love every minute of it.
PLEASE keep up the good-to-excellent work on these okay-to-suckass movies!!!
Oh… and speaking of songs turned into movies… HOW could you POSSIBLY not mention:
“Purple Rain”
I used to think the worst thing you could see in the opening credits of a movie was “Based on the Video Game…” (see next week’s Film Sack) but you gentlemen have proven that, indeed, the worst thing to see in the opening credits of any film is “Based on the Song…” Thank you for opening my eyes to this reality. Keep on truckin’ boys.
I freaking loved this movie way more than I should have.
Once again a great review. Keep ‘em coming, I look forward to watching a Film Sack movie every Saturday, then look forward to listening to the reviews on my Monday commute. You guys make my week a whole lot better.
And also, I’m definitely adding Convoy to the magnificent Film Sack Boobie Collection.
I have loved this movie since I saw it as a kid. I cannot explain why, maybe I just have a thing for Kris, maybe I’m a trucker babe at heart but when I heard that you were doing this movie I was so excited. Then I start listening to the podcast and your bagging the movie, I mean I guess I expected it a little but it still made my heart drop. Oh well, we cant all like the same things.
Oh and Scott, trucker talk is not a thing of a bygone era, my brother is a trucker and I was driving with him recently and the good old trucker talk is still alive and kicking, although it has been updated. My favourite was the “Flash for Cash” which translates to a speed camera. Just a little bit of trivia for you.
The easiest Star Trek conneection, the Widow Woman was Jordi La Forge’s mother. Hello!
Oh – one additional note. Song made into a movie, Ode to Billy Joe.
@john i see now you are wrong because this vid shows it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlSXYwmkmOQ
An interesting side note — the backing band for C W McCall was what came to be known later as Mannheim Steamroller.
Just started on this podcast. Best. Idea. Ever. Not to go listen to every one of the ep’s
Add “Breaker! Breaker!” as another cheesy/wonderful Road people vs the cops movie. Chuck Norris as a truck driver. Brilliant.
