  2. Nosey Parker has been used in England since I was a child in the sixties, I think it’s a child friendly of nosey f**cker.

  3. speaking of all y’all’s love for Sam Rockwell, i highly recommend a movie he did a few years ago called “The Way, Way Back.” it’s a coming of age story about an introverted kid who gets a summer job at a water park and is mentored by loveable rogue manager (Rockwell), while dealing with his terrible family (his parents are played by Toni Collette and Steve Carrell). i’ve never really heard anyone talk about this movie, but it’s great, very bantery (but not in an annoyingly preternatural dawson’s creek way). maybe not filmsack material, but definitely worth a viewing if you’re a Rockwell fan, he knocks it out of the park as always.

  4. Not just England. Widely used across the whole UK. I’m Scottish and have heard it used all my life.

  5. Nosey parker is very common in England and i remember being told in school as a kid that the origin comes from Victorian park keepers in London (Parkers), who would scout the parks looking for amorous couples who may be smooching in the bushes,
If you were caught by one of these park keepers you were caught by a ‘nosey parker’.

    love the show
